Brief Description: I created this chart using Microsoft Word to show an easy and creative way to track student behaviors in the classroom while reinforcing positive behavior and recognition. With this document, students can clearly see where their classroom conduct is at and strive to make good choices.
Rationale: I chose to include my Behavior Stars chart as a representation of Standard Two: Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments. This chart shows my understanding of the design and development of assessment tools using contemporary resources that can be used to evaluate student experiences.

Course: EDUC 201: Using Computers in Education
Brief Description: This Grade Keeper assignment is a way for teachers to keep track of their student's grades easily and professionally using Excel. By having the formulas already built into the program, teachers such as myself can quickly add or alter grading information to accurately determine a student's grade.
Rationale: I am including the Excel Grade Keeper spreadsheet to demonstrate my knowledge of Standard Two: Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments. Another contemporary tool available to teachers is the use of Excel spreadsheets to accurately calculate numerical information with built-in formulas and equations that can assess student learning measures.

Brief Description: I created this activity that students can use as a group learning activity, along with the rubric, using a Word Document. In this activity, students are given a list of instructions, vocabulary words, and a grading rubric so that they can recognize the expectations of the assignment and how their performance will be graded.
Rationale: I am including my Volcano Activity word document to illustrate my comprehension of Standard Two: Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments. This assignment displays my knowledge of how to design and develop effective student learning activities and assessments by using contemporary resources such as Word to create a copperative learning group assignment and grading rubric.

Brief Description: This is a very useful PowerPoint presentation that I created which shows students the three different branches of our government and how they each check and balance the other branches. Students can use this presentation to learn about the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of our government, and the scope of each branch's power.
Rationale: I have chosen to include my Government PowerPoint to exhibit my grasp of Standard Two: Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments. This presentation represents my understanding of how to design effective learning experiences for my students by using additional contemporary tools in an interesting way to capture student's attentions while having the option through PowerPoint to convert the information to outline formatting for distribution to my students.
